Sam was not only a service user of Bristol`s homeless and drug support services, he was someone who encouraged others to seek help and had been looking forward to a future working with and supporting felllow addicts. He wrote every day in his journal that he was grateful for the NHS and the free treatment and health support he received. St Mungo`s is part fo the NHS`s outreach programes working with people on the streets. They`re base in Jamaica House in stokes croft was the place Sam went as a first port of call when he began to haul himself off the streets. During the last year of recovery and relative health, the Compass Center and NHS homeless health services also part of the Jamaica House complex have been his point of reference for all medical needs and practical assitance. In honour of Sam lets support the good work places like this and charities like St Mungo`s do!
